Questions

Where can I buy a handmade rope dog lead in the UK?

The Haud sells rope dog leads made by hand in Britain. Some are made to order, and the making time is shown on each lead before you order.

What else is made from handmade rope?

Besides leads, rope makers have traditionally made bell ropes, doormats, fenders and doorstops, each laid and knotted by hand.

How do I know these pieces are really handmade in Britain?

Every maker on The Haud applies and is reviewed individually before they can sell, and imports, mass production and resellers are not allowed. Each piece links to the profile of the person who made it, so you can see who they are and where they work before you buy. Payment is taken by Stripe. On UK orders you have at least 14 days from delivery to change your mind, except on personalised and commissioned pieces, and anything faulty or not as described is always covered.
